Job Description

The Role :

Join Carey's dynamic Junior APS Sport program as a Casual Relief Teacher. In this role, you'll supervise and support students during weekly Wednesday afternoon matches (12:00 pm - 3:30 pm) and fortnightly Thursday training sessions (12:00 pm - 3:30 pm), helping to create a safe, structured, and engaging sporting environment.

The Average Day :

  • Supervise and support students during matches and training.
  • Ensure student safety and wellbeing throughout all sporting activities.
  • Manage logistics, such as team organisation, attendance, and equipment.
  • Encourage positive sporting behaviour, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Liaise with staff and coaches to ensure smooth coordination of matches and training.

The Person :

To be successful in this position, you will be :

  • Confident and approachable, with a passion for working with young people in a sporting context.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage teams and logistics independently.
  • A strong communicator who collaborates effectively with students, staff, and coaches.
  • A positive role model who upholds Carey's values and promotes teamwork and sportsmanship.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to step into a range of sports and supervision duties as needed.

A valid Victorian Institute Teaching (VIT) registration is required for employment in this position.
