Amazon Web Services is the market leader and technology forerunner in the Cloud business. As a member of the AWS Support team, you will be at the forefront of this transformational technology, assisting a global list of companies and developers that are taking advantage of a growing set of services and features to run their mission-critical applications. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will act as the 'Cloud Ambassador' across all the cloud products, arming our customers with required tools and tactics to get the most out of their Product and Support investment.

- Partner with Amazon Web Services teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues.
- Leverage your extensive customer support experience to provide feedback to internal AWS teams on how to improve our services.
- Drive customer communication during critical events.
- Drive projects that improve support-related processes and our customers' technical support experience.
- Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the developer community.
- Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that may span multiple AWS services.
- Experience with database fundamentals such as basic SQL query writing, troubleshooting in RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases, including performance tuning and optimization, deadlock resolution, key management, and database normalization.
- Knowledge of enterprise data warehousing concepts, including high availability configurations, disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, distributed systems, and ETL processes.
- Enterprise-level system administration experience with Linux environments (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and/or Microsoft Windows Server, including Active Directory management.
- Network administration and troubleshooting skills, including TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, practical application of OSI model concepts, routing and switching, firewall management, and LAN/WAN architecture. Proficiency with network analysis tools (like traceroute), testing tools (like iperf), and protocol utilities (like dig and cURL).
- Bachelor's degree in Information Science/Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field OR equivalent professional experience in a technical position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with AWS analytics services, specifically Amazon Redshift, Amazon QuickSight, and Amazon Neptune.
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) platforms, including ETL pipeline development and troubleshooting, data migration strategies, performance optimization, and dashboard development.
- Experience in technical customer support.
- Understanding of cloud computing and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages such as Python, R, Ruby, Go, Java, C# (.NET), JavaScript, or Unix/Linux shell scripting.
