Overview

Contract Behaviour Support Practitioner – Remote Role (Work from Home). We're on the lookout for passionate NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioners to join us on a contract basis and help deliver high quality Positive Behaviour Support across Australia. This is a remote position with work from home opportunities. At Motivational Support Services, we genuinely care about our team. We want you to feel supported and valued every step of the way. We also welcome expressions of interest from practitioners across Australia who already have their own connections or caseloads.

Note: This is a contract role. Practitioners are responsible for managing their own tax, superannuation, and HECS (if applicable).

Responsibilities
  • Manage your own time and work from home; you'll be responsible for finding your own caseload.
  • Work closely with participants, families, and care teams to address behaviours of concern.
  • Support participants to meet reporting obligations around restrictive practices within the NDIS, with the goal of reducing and eliminating their use while building positive behaviour strategies.
  • Assist with administrative tasks to help you thrive (e.g., keeping notes up to date, invoicing).
What You'll Need
  • At least 1 year of experience as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner with a practitioner ID, or be signed off as suitable.
  • Approved at Core, Proficient, or above status.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in an allied health field (e.g., Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Developmental Education, or Social Work).
  • Experience supporting individuals, families, and/or children with a disability.
  • Ability to use data collection tools, analyse information, and prepare high quality Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Regular peer support and guidance.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check (if successful).
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • ABN/ACN (guidance available if needed).
  • Evidence of Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance.
  • Access to your own Behaviour Support Practitioner supervisor (or supervision can be provided).
  • Your own phone, computer, and resources to complete the role.
  • Ability to maintain calendars, progress notes, and client files; issue invoices promptly for completed work.
