About The Opportunity
We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychologist to join our Child and Family Health team, delivering high-quality psychological and psychosocial assessments, interventions, and consultations for children aged 0–12. This role focuses on supporting preschool-aged children as they prepare for their transition to school, offering screening, intake, assessment, and therapy in a nurturing, family-centred environment. You'll work closely with children, families, and their support networks to promote emotional wellbeing, developmental progress, and positive outcomes during these formative years.
This is a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of children and families. If you're passionate about early childhood development, enjoy multidisciplinary work, and thrive in a role that blends clinical expertise with community impact, we'd love to hear from you.
What You\'ll Be Doing
Deliver evidence-based psychological assessments, interventions and consultation to assess the needs of consumers within Primary and Community Health. Support the Brighter Beginnings preschool health and development screening, and provide assessment, early intervention, capacity building and direct care pathways for children in SWSLHD. Participate in evaluation of clinical outcomes and assist in education/training programs. Supervise psychologists and other disciplines as required by organisational needs.

Services include prevention, early intervention, assessment, treatment, health maintenance and continuing care. The team supports diverse populations, offering programs for children, young people, older adults, and at-risk communities. The service employs over 800 staff including Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, doctors and allied health professionals.
