Are you an experienced prosecutor with a sharp mind for evidence and a passion for justice? Join the Workers' Compensation Investigations and Prosecutions Unit (WCIPS) and help deliver meaningful outcomes through the prosecution of offences under the Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003.

This is an opportunity to work on complex and meaningful matters involving fraud, false claims, claim farming, and other breaches of the Act. You'll play a central role in ensuring Queensland's workers' compensation scheme operates with fairness, integrity and accountability.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Prosecutor, you'll provide expert legal services to support the Workers' Compensation Regulator, including :

Assessing briefs of evidence and delivering high-quality legal advice to investigators and the Regulator.Preparing and managing matters for trial, sentence, or appeal.Advocating in court or instructing external counsel on complex prosecutions.Liaising with stakeholders across the justice system, including courts, witnesses, and defence representatives.Supporting continuous improvement through training and collaboration with your colleagues.

This role also involves reviewing confronting or distressing content. You'll be supported with professional supervision and access to wellbeing services, including the employee assistance program.

Mandatory requirements
