Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Bakewell, Australia. As a key member of our management team, you will support the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient team performance.
- Lead and motivate the restaurant team during busy service periods, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment
- Train and develop crew members, focusing on skill improvement and career growth
- Proactively enhance guest experience through attentive service and prompt issue resolution
- Support inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimising waste
- Assist in financial management tasks, including cash handling and basic budgeting
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe dining environment
- Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to implement new initiatives and improve operational efficiency
- Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, striving for high customer satisfaction
- Assist in creating staff rotas and managing shift schedules
- Contribute to menu planning and special promotions, considering local preferences and seasonal availability
- Proven experience leading a team within a busy, high-volume hospitality environment
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for inspiring, leading, and developing team members
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, including familiarity with local standards
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Basic financial management and budgeting abilities
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Familiarity with local food culture and dining preferences in Stuart Park and surrounding areas
Starting salary $75,000 plus Super
