About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at ASC. Reporting to the Procurement Manager SSN AUKUS, you will play a crucial role in managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, conducting sourcing activities, and purchasing administrative duties to ensure the successful execution of procurement requirements within your delegated authority.

This role is a full time Permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage assigned suppliers and program purchasing requirements.
  2. Negotiate and manage procurements for SSN-AUKUS Program.
  3. Establish and develop internal and external relationships to meet program requirements.
  4. Support procurement negotiations and prepare all associated approval documents and supporting artefacts.
  5. Ensure procurement activities are undertaken ethically, efficiently, and effectively.
  6. Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement activities.
  7. Comply with ASC governance requirements and support internal and external audits.
  8. Support sourcing and contract management activities, including supplier's qualification and management, across key procurement categories.

About you

  1. Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in a relevant Procurement role.
  2. Appropriate tertiary qualifications such as business, law, engineering or supply chain (Desirable)
  3. Strong skills in MRP systems (IFS desirable) and Microsoft Office products.
  4. Strong ability to negotiate contracts and process purchase orders.
  5. Working knowledge of applicable laws relating to procurement, including insurance, legal processes, intellectual property, and warranties.
  6. Good knowledge of procurement practices and contract management.
  7. Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  8. Strong analytical thinking, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.

Eligibility and Requirements

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
