  • To manage the Wide Bay Oral Health Services within the North Burnett region by providing overall management, clinical leadership and quality general practitioner oral health services to eligible clients across fixed and mobile facilities. The role requires the clinician to be sufficiently experienced and motivated to work independently to achieve targets in oral health treatment and prevention.

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive experience in the provision of general practitioner oral health services for all age groups, including comprehensive knowledge of infection control practices.
  • Effective management of clients' expectations and ability to deal with client feedback, whilst understanding and educating patients on their rights and responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage the oral health team by encouraging team spirit, setting a good example for staff and proactively managing conflict, whilst demonstrating an open and honest approach to management.
  • High level communication skills to enable effective interaction in individual and group situations across a broad range of socio-economic and cultural environments.
  • Ability to attain knowledge of contemporary human resource management, with particular reference to workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination.
  • Ability to ensure all risks and incidents are reviewed, and appropriate solutions are implemented ensuring that this is communicated to all relevant staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mandatory possession of Bachelor of Dental Science or the equivalent and eligibility for registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA).
  • Possession of a current licence to operate radiation source for Dental Diagnostic Radiography (intra oral).
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
  • Whilst this position is based in Gayndah, travel throughout to other facilities in the North Burnett region is a requirement of the position.

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $225,951 p.a., comprising salary between $158,532 - $170,285 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) Rural and Remote Allowance (17%) and Professional Development Allowance (DO2.1 - DO2.3) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
