Data Services Manager (Software & Automotive)

About the Role

The Data Services Manager is responsible for leading the Data Services Team, ensuring effective management of data integration, ETL processes, data conversions, customer reporting, and third-party API integrations. The role will oversee cross-functional collaboration between teams, enhance data-related service offerings, and drive operational efficiency across all regions. This role will focus on managing and improving chargeable project work, optimizing team performance, and ensuring the quality and reliability of data services. The role will also be accountable for aligning data operations with broader business goals, supporting new business initiatives, and ensuring compliance with best practices in data management.

What You Will Be Doing

  1. Lead and manage the Data Services Team across multiple regions, define and execute the Data Services strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  2. Oversee ETL processes, data conversions, and API integrations to drive data consistency and efficiency and ensure data security, quality control, and governance of all data-related projects and initiatives.
  3. Define, document, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all four core functions, ensuring SOPs are aligned with industry best practices and internal compliance requirements.
  4. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance service quality; train and educate team members on SOPs to maintain consistency, scalability, and knowledge retention.
  5. Manage pricing updates across all platforms meeting SLAs; oversee chargeable ETL services and provide guiding processes to ensure seamless data transformation and chargeable custom reporting customization tailored to customer requirements.
  6. Lead data integration pipeline management across web applications and third-party services, ensuring seamless middleware and API configuration to support internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Collaborate with the Product & Development teams to optimize integration solutions.
  8. Manage team workload, capacity planning, and prioritization of deliverables as well as mentorship, training, and career development opportunities to direct reports.
  9. Work across the organization to align operations with business needs, and facilitate communication between the team and stakeholders.

What You Need to Have

  1. 5+ years of experience in data services, integrations, or business intelligence roles.
  2. Proven experience in leading technical teams and data-driven projects.
  3. Hands-on experience with data governance, and system integrations.
  4. Flexibility and willingness to travel (essential).
  5. Expertise in ETL processes, data pipelines, and data transformation methodologies.
  6. Experience with SQL, APIs, and middleware integrations.
  7. Strong understanding of business intelligence, data analytics, and reporting tools.
  8. Ability to manage cross-regional teams and multi-product data ecosystems.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills with experience in data quality and compliance.
  10. Proven strong leadership and team management skills.
  11. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  12. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  13. Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  14. Customer-focused mindset with an emphasis on quality and service excellence.
  15. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
