Job Title: Senior Business Analyst – Data Focused (2 Roles) Contract:6 months initially (extension likely) Location: Brisbane, Hybrid

About the Opportunity:
A large‑scale transformation program is underway, delivering major changes to systems, processes, and data capability across multiple business areas. We are seeking two Senior Business Analysts with a strong focus on data to join high‑profile initiatives – the Future Claims Model (Core Applications) and the Data Enablement Program.
Both roles will play a pivotal part in modernising technology, uplifting business processes, and improving the way data is managed, governed, and used for decision‑making.

Role 1 – Future Claims Model (Core Applications):

  • Focus on customer and claims data within the Core Applications workstream.
  • Define system requirements, establish and monitor data quality standards.
  • Identify and track key data points to support the Predictive Duration Management Tool.
  • Conduct options analysis for data availability and quality issues.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and a broad range of stakeholders.
Role 2 – Data Enablement Program:
  • Operates across corporate functions such as Finance and Risk to centralise and rationalise reporting.
  • Map the current reporting and analytics landscape.
  • Identify quick‑win improvements and redundant reports to retire.
  • Gather and translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications.
  • Support data governance frameworks and modern data platform design.
Key Responsibilities (for both roles):
  • Elicit and document data‑related business requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure alignment.
  • Support governance and quality standards for data.
  • Contribute to solution designs that deliver measurable business value.
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in data‑focused projects.
  • Strong understanding of reporting, analytics, and data quality.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement – confident, personable, and influential.
  • Ability to work across both strategic initiatives and tactical quick wins.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or other complex regulated industries is highly regarded.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex transformation environment.
