TheCasual Relief Teacherat St Andrews Christian College plays a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students. They are responsible for providing effective teaching and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and materials to ensure continuity of learning for students
  • Implementing effective classroom management strategies to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Adhering to the school's policies and procedures while promoting the Christian ethos and values
  • Establishing positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to support the overall educational experience
  • Adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and individual student needs
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
  • Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the school community
  • Providing feedback on student progress and behavior to support ongoing assessment and reporting processes

Casual Relief Teacher – Position Description

Required skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong classroom management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic educational setting
  • Demonstrated passion for working with students in a Christian educational context

Required experiences:

  • Prior experience in teaching or working with students, preferably in a school setting
  • Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum implementation
  • Understanding of best practices in education, particularly within a Christian educational framework
  • Demonstrated ability to support diverse student needs and learning styles
  • Experience integrating faith-based principles into educational practice is an asset
