About the Role
Our client, a world-leading center for mining safety and health research, is seeking a Technical Training Coordinator to join their Redbank-based team for a full-time 3-month contract, with potential for extension.
As a Technical Training Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the engagement, delivery, and management of specialized technical training courses. This is a hands-on, customer-focused role requiring attention to detail, clear communication, and a willingness to learn and collaborate to deliver quality outcomes.
Duties:
- Coordinate and support training and competency assessments, including scheduling, data collection, and ensuring smooth assessment processes to address competency gaps.
- Provide high-level administration and support for interpreting applicable training standards, integrating them into the Learning Management System, and developing procedures and guidelines for staff and clients.
- Maintain accurate records of competency assessments and related data in the Learning Management System and prepare reports on competency metrics and assessments.
- Liaise, consult, negotiate, and maintain effective communication during daily operations with staff at all levels and external parties.
- Support ongoing projects and perform other duties as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience providing high-level administrative support in an RTO environment.
- Strong understanding of the Vocational Education and Training sector.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems and competency frameworks.
- Procurement, travel planning, booking, and event management experience is highly desirable.
- Program and project management experience is highly valued.
