Overview

Catholic Homes is seeking Home Care Support Workers to join our home care team on a casual basis with a view to permanent part-time/full-time roles in Mundaring, Helena Valley, Kalamunda, Lesmurdie and surrounding areas. This position will be responsible for providing in-home personal care, domestic assistance, social support, transport and/or daily living supports for our home care clients.

Our Home Care team endeavours to build strong and lasting relationships with our clients so that they may stay at home for longer and allow them to get out into the community to do the things they enjoy doing.

Responsibilities
  • Provide in-home personal care, domestic assistance, social support, transport and/or daily living supports for home care clients.
  • Help clients stay at home longer and engage with the community through social support and activities.
To be successful in this role you will have/be
  • A great personality and willingness to chat and engage with clients.
  • Dedicated and reliable with flexibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy with elderly clients and a caring nature.
  • Person-centred care mindset; take pride in work and appearance; committed to making a difference daily.
  • A roadworthy and registered vehicle and a current C class WA driver's licence.
  • Availability to do shift work; morning, afternoon, evening and full-day shifts available. Monday to Friday, or weekends as applicable.
  • Commitment to uphold high standards of work and represent the company professionally.
  • Experience in community Aged Care or NDIS (desirable).
