The Opportunity

The objective of this role is to manage the production team which includes Technical Director- Production Design Team members and Web-streaming team to ensure the successful execution of events in a structured, consistent manner from a technical perspective. The Director, Technical Production also acts as a technical advisor/expert across the business.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Drive and oversee production team for a specific event on an as needs basis
  2. Act as technical expert and advisor for direct reports and across the business
  3. Liaise with sales team regarding upcoming events and allocate resources and provide technical and advice
  4. Monitor pre-production process of all shows to ensure consistent and successful delivery of events
  5. Advise on the purchase of technical equipment to ensure alignment between customer requirements and cost effectiveness
  6. Understanding of crew capability and the allocation of appropriate crew resources from technical perspective
  7. Manage the technical aspects of the implementation of a show
  8. Participate in weekly WIP meetings with crewing, operations, sales and production to analyse upcoming fortnightly events

Your Background

  1. Prior experience in production and project management
  2. Relevant experience in AV
  3. Excellent planning, organisational, time management & account management skills
  4. Ability to lead teams
