Responsibilities

An opportunity exists for a commercially-minded lawyer to join a high-performing in-house legal team, advising on a broad range of commercial and technology matters. Working closely with the General Counsel and business stakeholders, you'll assist in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements — including procurement, SaaS and technology services, licensing, and data processing arrangements.

You'll also support on legal risk assessments, privacy and data issues, marketing reviews, and occasional IP or regulatory questions, depending on your experience.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years' PQE (at a minimum), ideally gained in a reputable law firm or in-house team.
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts (e.g. goods and services, supply, licensing, tech or SaaS agreements).
  • Exposure to privacy, data protection, consumer law, or IP matters (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to balance legal risk with commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capability.
  • Australian legal qualification and current practising certificate.
