The Role
You will lead our Product Design & Engineering team with the mission to build the best slurry transfer technology in the world. You'll develop and lead a high-performing team, drive new product development, and implement cutting-edge digital engineering systems.
Your key responsibilities:
- Lead & Grow Team – You're not starting from scratch. We have an established team of engineers, and we're ready to fund acceleration and a strategic step change.
- New & Evolving Product Development – Lead new innovations while continuously refining & optimising our existing product range.
- Digital Engineering Transformation – Implement and integrate best-in-class CAD, parametric design, CFD, FEA, and ERP tools for a seamless, fully digital workflow.
- Client-Facing Engineering – Work with blue-chip mining companies & top engineering houses—our products are already used by all major miners around the world.
First 12-18 months priorities:
- Expand our high-performing team & introduce next-gen engineering tools.
- Drive new product innovation & existing product evolution.
- Implement the digital engineering tech stack (CAD, simulation, automation).
- Re-engineer & optimise our product range for manufacturability & performance.
- Develop SlurryIQ's engineering workflow – including 3D scanning, digital twin, and predictive modelling.
- Establish a scalable product development framework to deliver the roadmap.

Experience we're looking for:
- Engineering degree (ideally Mechanical or similar).
- Leadership experience in engineering teams.
- Product development, design-for-manufacture, and pre-production engineering experience.
- Digital design & engineering tech – Experience with CAD, CFD, FEA, ERP, parametric design, product configurators, CAD product families ('lego blocks'), and the digital integration of all of this.
- Build-to-order manufacturing experience is ideal.
- Configure-to-order and engineer-to-order product design experience would also help.
