Support the Maintenance Engineering team at Evolution Mining's Ernest Henry site, gaining hands-on experience in electrical systems and real project ownership within a leading gold producer.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with electrical inspections and condition monitoring.
  • Supporting root cause analysis of electrical faults and failures.
  • Updating maintenance strategies and electrical system documentation.
  • Participating in shutdown planning and execution.
  • Collecting and analysing electrical system performance data.
  • Collaborating with trades and engineering teams on improvement initiatives.
  • Preparing technical documentation and electrical reports.
  • Working under the supervision of an electrical engineer, with tasks aligned to the student's engineering background and learning goals.
About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Current enrolment in a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Experience with relevant software and systems through studies or placements (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills across verbal, written, numerical, and graphical formats.
  • Ability to uphold high work standards and build strong relationships with peers and leaders.
  • Capacity to work independently to meet personal and team goals.
  • A valid manual driver's license.
  • Willingness to live and work remotely.
Compensation & Benefits

  • Residential housing provided.
  • Transport to site arranged.
  • All necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplied.
  • 12-week residential program from December to February.
  • Roster: 5 days on, 2 days off and 4 days on, 3 days off.
  • Fast-tracked entry into the graduate program for successful participants.

  • Hands-on experience through on-the-job learning.
  • Ownership of real projects with meaningful impact.
  • Mentorship from experienced technical leaders.
  • Participation in operational and personal development training.
Career Progression
  • Candidates who successfully complete the vacation program will be fast-tracked into the Evolution Mining graduate program.
  • Exposure to diverse operational experiences and career opportunities within the company.
