As our Wellbeing & Injury Management Team Lead, you will lead the delivery of effective injury prevention, claims management and injury management processes in support of business objectives.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Lead, coach and develop the Wellbeing & Injury Management Team Advisors and Coordinator, ensuring development of their skills and high levels of customer focus in support of stores and support centre.
  • Assist to develop and implement simple, relevant and effective injury and claims management policies, procedures and strategies that minimise operational impact, reduce costs and continually improve health and safety results.
  • Work collaboratively with the Injury Management & Wellbeing Manager to develop and contribute to the annual Safety Strategy with key health and wellbeing objectives, targets and timeframes for implementation.
  • Provide practical training and coaching to leaders in support of improved knowledge and awareness of health and wellbeing for their team and the greater business.
  • Assist to develop and implement any health and wellbeing initiatives or strategies to ensure the business has best practices in place.
  • Assist to ensure the Injury Management System is maintained with accurate and relevant information and is effectively used by both the Wellbeing and Injury Management, Safety and HR teams.
  • Contribute to the coordination and compiling of safety reporting and presentations including board reports, quarterly strategy tracking and retail leadership meetings in collaboration with the Wellbeing & Injury Manager and Group GM Health, Safety & Wellbeing.
  • Effectively facilitate the timely and sustainable return to work of injured team members, ensuring lost time, claim durations and claim costs are minimized.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with external stakeholders, such as Insurers and OR Providers, to ensure claims management strategies are implemented, the timely delivery of exceptional customer service and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Manage and deliver ad hoc projects as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant Allied Health such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychologist.
  • Relevant professional association membership and/or registration.
  • 3+ years rehabilitation experience (clinical and non-clinical) and 2 years in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation legislation nationally with demonstrated cost and claim reductions through implementation of injury prevention programs.
