About Our School

St Benedict's Primary School at Mango Hill has a student population of just over 750 students. The school was established in 2008 and is located in the outer northern suburbs of Brisbane (Mango Hill). Summary

Take pride in maintaining vibrant gardens, lush lawns, and top-quality sports ovals, creating a welcoming environment for all.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the maintenance of playing surfaces, including setting up of greens, top dressing, fertilising under supervision, seeding, turfing, coring, and sprigging
• Assisting in the preparation of ovals for sporting events and carnivals
• Safely operate and maintain small machinery and plant, as required, considering the risk to self and others
• Assisting in the equipment and plant maintenance repairs including carrying out tasks allotted under the grounds and gardens maintenance plan
• Assisting in the ordering and purchase of materials

About You

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

• Knowledge of maintaining playing surfaces, including fertilising, seeding, and turfing
• Ability to assist in preparing ovals for sporting events and carnivals
• Skilled in safely operating and maintaining small machinery, ensuring safety for all
• Experience in equipment and plant maintenance, following the grounds maintenance plan
• Ability to assist in ordering and purchasing materials for maintenance tasks
• Relevant tertiary qualifications at Certificate III level, or completion of an apprenticeship
• For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

Eligibility And Safeguarding Requirements

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
