Overview

The Staging Technician prepares finished prescriptions and performs light warehouse duties.

Responsibilities

  • Scan medication orders into the dispensing system and stage them correctly for each delivery route.
  • Monitor workflow to ensure smooth product movement from pharmacy to delivery system.
  • Sort and pack medication orders neatly within delivery totes.
  • Prepare refrigerated products for delivery to maintain product stability.
  • Prepare and stage delivery manifests and ancillary paperwork.
  • Review the accuracy of delivery totes and medications before sealing for delivery.
  • Set up empty totes and apply new delivery barcode labels for upcoming routes.
  • Prepare STAT deliveries for timely departure, coordinating with delivery personnel.
  • Sort returned signed delivery manifests and scan into the system.
  • Assist with emergency drug kit deliveries, including tracking and expiration monitoring.
  • Perform tasks under pressure within deadlines.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned, depending on business needs.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of brand name and generic medications.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Ability to work at a moderate pace.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather.
  • Good organization and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to perform light lifting (up to 50 pounds).
  • Reliable and able to work various shifts and days.
  • Decision-making skills.

Physical Demands

  • Sit or stand for 7-10 hours per day.
  • Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, walking, crawling.
  • May need to work extended hours.
  • May lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Holiday & PTO Policy

  • 6 paid holidays annually, plus 5 sick days.
  • Up to 10 PTO days per year, with rollover and bonuses.
  • Option to cash out up to 10 PTO hours quarterly.

Note: Schedules may vary due to 24/7 pharmacy operations.
