Computer Network and Systems Engineer (Implementation Technician)

Job Description:

We are Mansys Pty Ltd, recruitment consultants. Our client, Bepoz Global, based in Melbourne (VIC), is actively looking for an experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer (Implementation Technician) to join its team on a full-time basis at their Perth office. The business is Australia's leading supplier and developer of point of sale (POS) systems, renowned for supplying products that are customized to meet the demands of running a bar, restaurant, cafe, hotel, or club. In addition to POS systems, Bepoz offers fully integrated Digital Signage, CCTV, Paging solutions, Takeaway Order Apps, and Self-Ordering systems.

Main Responsibilities include:

1. Performing day-to-day operations, including installation, deployment, configuration, testing, data migration, and administration of Bepoz System Software components, networks, databases, servers, and workstations.
2. Design and configure system architectures tailored to client requirements, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and seamless integration with existing infrastructure, while developing customer-specific project plans.
3. Collaborate closely with clients during implementation and go-live phases to design data models, network requirements, backup strategies, and integration processes, ensuring client expectations are met.
4. Configure, update, and maintain networking devices such as routers, switches, and access points; enable/disable TCP and UDP ports; configure firewall rules, subnets, and VLANs; install VPNs, SQL Servers, RDS, and various applications; and apply security patches.
5. Continuously assess, monitor, and research network infrastructures to optimize performance, providing recommendations for hardware, software, and feature improvements for hospitality venues across WA.
6. Provide professional remote and onsite support for diagnosing and resolving issues related to Microsoft Windows servers, network printers, scanners, MSR, payment terminals, online ordering platforms, and network/system-related issues.
7. Upgrade Bepoz software versions with new releases on servers or network changes, followed by configuration and testing to ensure seamless integration, updating SQL database tables and API connections.
8. Facilitate seamless integration of Bepoz with various systems, including payment terminals, by observing network traffic and managing IP reservations and DHCP ranges.
9. Conduct training sessions with hospitality customers on Bepoz solutions, POS, YourOrder, Snapshots, Oolio Pay, and MyPlace applications.
10. Conduct research and analysis to determine system, program, and application needs, identifying limitations and proposing enhancements using CRM tools like Jira, HubSpot, and ConnectWise.
11. Work closely with the Central Warehouse team to manage hardware requirements for sales orders and add-ons for WA customers.
12. Assist in developing and executing project rollout strategies and security policies to ensure seamless POS system integration and efficiency.
13. Oversee security and compliance of POS systems, manage payment discrepancies, and protect transaction data.
14. Diagnose, test, and assist R&D teams in resolving system errors to maintain quality standards.
15. Build positive relationships with clients and help grow the WA customer base.

Must Have:

• Australian Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience with POS systems.

Skills Needed:

• Full-spectrum system implementation experience, including installation, configuration, testing, training, and post-go-live support.
• Expertise in firewalls, routers, servers, SQL, VLANs, VPNs, and Windows environments.
• Strong client engagement skills, from designing data models to integrating payment terminals.

Successful candidates will receive an annual salary of A$80,000 to A$90,000 plus superannuation. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
