We are seeking to appoint a passionate Teaching Assistant to work part-time (2 days) at either our Narre Warren South or Wantirna South campus on a fixed term four or two year basis, while studying for either a Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching at Eastern College Australia through CITE Alliance Victoria.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a caring Christian environment, receive mentoring, support, and learn on-the-job skills supporting teachers in the classroom, while studying to become a teacher. The roles commence in 2025. You will earn a salary as a Teaching Assistant while learning. Note that you must be accepted and enrolled at Eastern College in either a Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching program to qualify for the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a Godly example to students and fellow staff members through their practice, manner, relationships, and general lifestyle.
  • Support teachers in the development of differentiated lesson plans.
  • Assess and provide feedback to students.
  • Assist classroom teachers with monitoring and maintaining student pastoral care and wellbeing.
  • Engage in the faith life of the school, including attendance at events such as staff devotions or worship.
  • Be enrolled to study as a CITE Alliance student with Eastern College Australia.
  • Show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
  • Have current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement.
  • Be willing to get involved in all aspects of the College's programs and opportunities.
  • Have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
