About the Role

To drive profitable sales growth by proactively identifying, pursuing and converting new business opportunities, while managing and growing existing customer accounts. The role requires a strong hunter mentality combined with a relational and consultative approach to build trusted, long-term partnerships, increase customer value, expand MCC's customer base and grow market share.Join ourAdelaide team in this Sales Account Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify and secure new business aligned with MCC's growth targets
  • Build a healthy pipeline of high-value, high-margin opportunities
  • Lead customer proposals and negotiations, ensuring profitable outcomes

Account Management & Growth

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customer contacts
  • Deliver best-in-class service that protects revenue and ensures retention
  • Create and execute account plans that drive revenue and margin growth
  • Monitor and manage customer stock levels, credit, and cash flow in line with MCC processes
  • Conduct regular account reviews and present data-driven insights to clients
  • Gather and share market intelligence to inform team strategy and execution

Relationships

  • Build trusted partnerships with both internal teams (Sales Support, Prepress, Production, Logistics, and Management) and external clients to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Communicate proactively and clearly to align customer expectations with operational execution
  • Collaborate across departments to identify and act on opportunities for margin improvement, cost savings, and process optimisation
  • Act as a team player by offering timely support, sharing insights, and contributing to shared goals

Commercial Performance

  • Achieve or exceed sales and margin targets within expense budgets
  • Apply commercial acumen in pricing, deal structuring, and profitability analysis
  • Drive process improvements that enhance customer value and MCC efficiency

Reporting & Analysis

  • Accurately track and report on account performance, pipeline progress, and profitability
  • Use Salesforce and Microsoft Office to support effective analysis, planning, reporting, and communication

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Actively engage internal teams (Sales Support, Production, Logistics, Prepress) to ensure operational alignment with customer needs
  • Share knowledge and support team initiatives that enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of production information such as quotes and artwork
  • Follow all MCC safety and environmental protocols and promote safe working behaviours
  • Report hazards or non-conformances using appropriate procedures
  • To carry out any additional duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably required to meet the demands of efficient company functioning.

About You (criteria)

  • Proven sales or account management experience, ideally in manufacturing, FMCG or B2B environments
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on revenue, margin, and cost
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and reporting tools
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Resilient, adaptable, and focused on continuous improvement
  • Strong commitment to delivering a premium customer experience
  • Certificate IV (or higher) in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Additional training in customer service, negotiation, or account management is highly regarded
  • Willingness to undertake ongoing professional developments
