Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service is seeking Principal House Officers or Registrars to join our dynamic and supportive Paediatric team at Bundaberg Hospital. You'll work alongside a team of experienced paediatricians, junior doctors, and allied health professionals in a department known for its collegial culture and commitment to quality care.

About the Paediatric Department at Bundaberg Hospital

The Paediatric Unit at Bundaberg Hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for children and adolescents across the Wide Bay region. The unit includes:

  • A 14-bed general paediatric ward
  • A Level 4 Special Care Nursery providing care for neonates from 32 weeks' gestation
  • A busy outpatient service with general and sub-specialty paediatric clinics
  • A paediatric consultation service supporting the Emergency Department and other inpatient units
  • Active participation in the statewide Queensland Paediatric Telehealth Network

You will receive a competitive remuneration package valued up to $14,614 per month, comprising a salary between $9933.80 - $11,517 per month, employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), and annual leave loading (17.5%) (L4-L9). This is a Temporary Full Time position, 76 hours per fortnight, until 1st February 2026, with the possibility of extension.
