Project Cost Analyst – Major Infrastructure Projects| 9 Month Contract| $500-$650p / d + Super

About the Role

A leading NSW Government agency is seeking an experienced Project Cost Analyst to support the financial delivery of major infrastructure programs, including a high-profile renewable energy initiative.

This is a key contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to one of the state's most important infrastructure portfolios. You will work closely with project teams to manage cost attribution, forecasting, reporting, and supplier payment processes, ensuring strong financial control across all phases of delivery.

Key accountabilities include :

Assist with the development and implementation of systems to track and report on actual and forecast costs across a large project portfolio.Review, process, and manage monthly supplier payments in collaboration with the Contracts Manager.Monitor and report on financial performance against budget, identifying risks and proposing remediation strategies.Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, submissions, and briefings for internal stakeholders.Ensure alignment with government financial policies and procedures and support project teams in applying them consistently.

About You

Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.Extensive experience supporting project finance functions across large-scale infrastructure programs.Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, accruals and cost reporting.Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced) and the broader Microsoft Office suite.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.Understanding of procurement processes and financial compliance in a government or complex project environment.
