YMCA Stanthorpe - Swimming Lessons Teacher (Casual)

YMCA Stanthorpe is seeking enthusiastic Swimming Lessons Teachers on a casual basis to join our team located in Stanthorpe.

About the role

YMCA Swimming Lessons Teachers are essential in delivering aquatic education programs and services. They must maintain thorough knowledge of YMCA aquatic programs, educational trends, and industry development.

What will my time look like?
  • Understanding YMCA Aquatic Programs and Services philosophies
  • Delivering safe, effective, and professional lessons
  • Maintaining knowledge of swimming and water safety instruction
  • Being available for a minimum of 12 months for allocated classes
  • Providing high-quality service to Learn to Swim members and families
Am I a good match?
  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
  • Availability to work on Saturdays
  • Swim Coaching Certifications (will be reviewed)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications or willingness to obtain
  • Current National Police Check
  • Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children Act 2000
  • YMCA Safeguarding Children Training Certificate (and annual refresher)
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Effective communication skills and approachable manner
