Childcare Cook - Part Time (Werribee and Hoppers Crossing)

WHO WE ARE :

Quantin Binnah Community Centre Inc. is a not-for-profit centre offering various services and programs to residents of Wyndham, Hobsons Bay, and surrounding communities. These include Playgroup, Little Kinder, Kindergarten, Long Day Care, Before and After School Care, Vacation Care, Adult Education, Community Development programs, Maternal and Child Health services, and Cafe QB.

The Role :

We seek a talented Centre Cook to join our team at Quantin Binnah Childcare. Your responsibilities will include planning and preparing nutritious and appealing menus for children in our well-equipped kitchen, working part-time hours.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare meals accommodating children with special dietary needs and allergies, with appropriate labelling/signage
  • Support children's health and wellbeing through nutritious meals and snacks
  • Order food supplies in consultation with the Childcare Director
  • Maintain safe and hygienic storage, handling, and preparation of food and drinks
  • Collaborate with the team to create a safe, nurturing, welcoming, and educational environment for children

Who we're looking for :

  • Relevant qualification for a cook
  • Availability Monday to Friday
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate or equivalent
  • Experience in a long day care setting
  • Experience working with dietary requirements and allergies
  • Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
  • Creative and passionate about high-quality food service
