Overview

The Lakes Estate Residents' Association Inc. is responsible for the daily administration and management of the Lakes Estate Retirement Village. We are seeking excellent management, financial acumen and transferable skills and experience.

This is an independent living retirement village and not an aged care facility.

The Association's Committee of Management is seeking a manager with good organisational and planning skills who is highly motivated and self-driven. This role will report to the Committee of Management.

The Role:

Your role is to manage the day-to-day administration of an independent living facility with a strong hands-on management style. You will be responsible for all aspects of running The Lakes Estate Retirement Village ranging from office administration, financial management, asset management, supplier management to interacting with the residents and their families. In essence you are like the CEO, accountable to the Committee of Management and will have many opportunities to make a positive impact on the lives of the residents.

You will be required to continue the implementation of best practice and service excellence.

To be considered for this role you will have to demonstrate:

Mandatory

  • A result/outcome focused attitude and not be a clock watcher
  • Demonstrable experience and skill in organising and planning
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Efficient and effective time management skills
  • Strong crisis management skills
  • Competency in accounts and reconciliation and MYOB competencies
  • Good inter-personal skills in interacting with residents and their families, staff and suppliers
  • Compulsory to obtain a police check

Highly Desirable

  • Qualifications and/or experience in business management or facility management
  • Understanding of the operations of an independent living retirement village
  • Working knowledge of legislative and compliance requirements as related to a retirement village
