This role is responsible for the collection, evaluation, analysis, and dissemination of timely intelligence to appropriate Agency personnel and external stakeholders. The position plays a crucial role in identifying and reporting intelligence-related concerns to support decision-making processes and minimize potential risks to the Agency and community.

In This Role You Will:

  1. Identify and maintain human source intelligence (including prisoners, staff, and visitors).
  2. Utilize Prisoner Telephone System data and call records.
  3. Utilize mail data.
  4. Review data contained in QCS indices including intelligence systems.
  5. Utilize QCS Intel system to retain information.
  6. Use charting and mathematical modeling to identify linkages and relationships between entities.
  7. Utilize statistical records to guide data collation.
  8. Use the IOMS intelligence module.
  9. Record analysis in the QCS Intelligence System.
  10. Develop operational and tactical hypotheses regarding security risk issues within correctional centres.
  11. Apply endorsed QCSIG methodology, including office automation and dedicated intelligence software such as Analyst Notebook.
  12. Share intelligence outcomes using the QCS Intelligence system.
  13. Undertake Escape Risk Assessments.
  14. Conduct assessments to inform placement decisions, in formats including oral and written intelligence products, following QCS dissemination procedures.
  15. Assist in developing intelligence and operational plans.
  16. Support partner agencies under the guidance of the QCS Intelligence Group.
  17. Participate in centre-based partnering initiatives.
