About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer to join a collaborative Data & AI team within a leading consultancy, working on an exciting Generative AI project for a high-profile client in the resources sector.

This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies including LLMs, RAG pipelines, LangChain, agentic architectures, and cloud-based AI services, delivering production-ready solutions across multiple use cases.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to feed GenAI models, ensuring data quality and consistency.
Design, implement, and optimize GenAI model solutions, including:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Embedding Models
- Vision-Language Models (VLMs)
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Guardrails and agentic patterns
Apply evaluation metrics to track model performance and drive iterative improvements.
Develop applications using Python (hands-on experience in application development of 6+ months required).
Deploy and maintain AI/ML pipelines in both cloud and on-prem environments.
Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
Collaborate and lead technical decisions across teams.
Contribute to AI strategy and architecture design, ensuring solutions are scalable and maintainable.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ months hands-on experience implementing and deploying GenAI solutions (RAG, LangChain/LangGraph, etc.).
6+ months of Python application development (scripts-only experience does not qualify).
Experience with model evaluation, data engineering, and production deployment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals and modern GenAI architectures.

Desirable (Bonus) Experience

MLOps tools and practices.
AWS or Azure cloud architecture and services.
Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
Experience with Snowflake GenAI.
Foundation model fine-tuning and advanced database architecture.
