Busy Bees at Coorparoo is a vibrant childcare centre with 113 places, located in the heart of Coorparoo on the corner of Harries Road, above the Woolworths Shopping Complex. Our service is dedicated to providing children with exciting opportunities and challenges in an innovative and stimulating environment that nurtures their individuality through the care of dedicated Educators.

We are seeking passionate Early Childhood Educators committed to fostering young children's growth. Your role will involve creating nurturing and engaging learning environments, developing age-appropriate curricula, assessing children's progress, and building strong relationships with families. Ensuring high-quality care and compliance with industry standards to support children's holistic development and lifelong learning is essential.

Location: Coorparoo, QLD

Casual Educator: $35.35 – $43.53 per hour

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certificate III, Diploma, or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
  • Current Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one
  • First Aid Certificate, including asthma and anaphylaxis training

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Ability to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
  • Understanding of developmental milestones and needs across various age groups
  • Capability to design, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs
  • Strong communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team
  • Flexibility to adapt to different situations in an early childhood setting

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the national early learning framework for children aged birth to five
  • Understanding of quality standards and assessment processes
  • Respect for diverse cultures, families, and individual needs
  • Proficiency in relevant software for documenting children's learning
  • Previous experience as an Educator, Assistant Educator, or Childcare Assistant
