Advanced Skills Teacher - Franklin Primary School role at Department for Education, Children and Young People

We are seeking an Advanced Skills Teacher to implement and manage appropriate learning programs for students and to assess individual student progress. The role also involves assisting the Principal in the general educational leadership, management and administration of a particular sector of a school or college.

Period of Appointment

  • Ongoing
  • Start date of 2 February 2026

Hours per fortnight

  • 14 hours per fortnight

Essential Requirements

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment).
  • A registered teacher with full registration within the meaning of the Teachers Registration Act 2000.
  • Qualifications as established by the Tasmanian Industrial Commission in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award, 2005.

Desirable Requirements

  • Four years or more training as defined in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award 2005.
