Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Maintaining a clean and tidy environment for all food service-related areas of the hospital.
  2. Performing cleaning duties, including cool rooms, preparation areas, kitchen, and dish wash area.
  3. Monitoring and recording all relevant food safety data.
  4. Maintaining kitchen cleanliness throughout, ensuring correct sanitation and infection control.
  5. Rotating as required between assisting the Stores Manager and the Kitchen Hand section.
  6. Assisting the Stores Manager with good receipt of supplies, food safety data recording, FIFO stock management, and ordering supplies.

Northern Beaches Hospital is a fully licensed private hospital, providing care to public and private patients from an outstanding facility with a wide range of quality services delivered by exceptional nurses, doctors, and staff.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements & hold a basic food handlers certificate.
  2. Flexible to work both morning and evening shifts across a 7-day rotating roster.
  3. Proven track record of providing excellent service, dedication, and reliability.
  4. Effective communication skills.
  5. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
  7. Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
  8. Respect and collaborate well with others to achieve goals.
  9. Act with integrity and show care for colleagues.
  10. Embrace change and seek ways to improve service.
  11. Motivated by personal growth and accountability.
  12. Must be available to work early mornings starting at 6am and afternoons starting at 1:30pm.
