The Education Futures Institute (EFI) - North Queensland region is seeking a District Relieving Teacher who is flexible, agile and driven by a genuine passion for supporting students, staff and the wider community. In this role, you will bring adaptability, initiative and a commitment to making a positive difference across diverse school environments. Your ability to respond to changing needs with energy and purpose will help create engaging, supportive learning experiences wherever you teach.
The Education Futures Institute is seeking an experienced teacher, with a minimum of 2-3 years on class, to join our team as a Mount Isa-based District Relieving Teacher. This role requires someone who can quickly build strong relationships with peers and students, adapt to new school environments at short notice, and incorporate cultural norms and traditions into teaching practices to support the success of our higher percentage First Nations student population. The successful candidate will demonstrate inclusive practices, respect for cultural diversity, and a commitment to capability building for themselves and others, with departmental support for travel outside Mount Isa as well as housing (subject to availability).
