We are seeking an experienced and compassionate counsellor with a background in supporting people impacted by domestic, family, and sexual violence (DFSV). This is a meaningful opportunity to join a therapeutic team committed to delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will provide counselling services to individuals affected by DFSV, working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment that values equity, compassion, and client-led practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide client-focused counselling using trauma-informed, strength-based approaches
  • Undertake intake, risk, and safety assessments
  • Respond empathetically and appropriately to clients in crisis or distress
  • Work in a culturally responsive manner, with a commitment to inclusive practice
  • Develop tailored care plans in collaboration with clients
  • Engage with colleagues and external partners to strengthen referral pathways and supports
  • Participate in regular supervision, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development

About You

  • Experienced in supporting individuals impacted by domestic, family, or sexual violence
  • Committed to trauma-informed, culturally safe, and inclusive practice
  • Skilled in collaboration and communication across diverse teams
  • Hold a relevant qualification in counselling, social work, psychology, or related discipline
  • Proactive in professional development and reflective practice
