The Planning and Analytics branch is a part of the University's Division of University Operations, which provides enabling services and resource capabilities to support the University's teaching and research objectives and activities. Working under general direction the Data Service Developer is responsible for the development of information and analytical needs of business units and the acquisition, preparation and development of data for analytical use cases.
To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in data manipulation and preparation process and technologies
- Demonstrated knowledge of data management and business intelligence concepts and practices
- Interpersonal and communication skills appropriate for working with a wide range of stakeholders
- Microsoft Office skills.
- Skills in data manipulation tools and/or programming languages such as Cognos, Power BI/Power Query, PySpark, SQL and R
Desirable:
- Experience with data integration and ETL tools such as Oracle Data Integrator or DBT, Azure data factory
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Cognos, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with cloud and on-prem database architectures
