The Havey is on the hunt for a passionate, hands-on Venue Manager / Duty Manager to join our leadership team full-time. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and knows how to keep both staff and guests happy, this could be your next move.

We're not just slinging beers (although we do that pretty well); we're a vibrant, iconic venue with a focus on quality food, consistent service, and creating good times every single day of the week. Whether it's a packed Friday night or a chilled midweek lunch, you'll be across it all.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Running the show on shift - leading by example, managing floor and bar operations, and ensuring everything runs like clockwork
  2. Opening and closing the venue with confidence and consistency
  3. Coaching and mentoring junior staff - setting the tone and standard for great service
  4. Working closely with senior leadership on rostering, planning, and venue operations
  5. Handling customer interactions with professionalism and personality - the good, the bad, and everything in between
  6. Cash handling and reconciliation - end-of-day reporting and POS management
  7. Keeping the vibe alive - making sure the venue feels sharp, clean, and welcoming
  8. Stock control support - helping manage stock levels, ordering, and deliveries
  9. Health, safety, and compliance - upholding RSA, licensing laws, and workplace safety standards

What we're looking for:

  1. Previous hospitality management or supervisory experience in a high-volume venue
  2. Natural leader with excellent communication skills
  3. Calm under pressure and thrives in busy service environments
  4. A problem-solver who can think on their feet
  5. Solid understanding of bar and floor operations
  6. Must have a current RSA and full availability across weekends, nights, and public holidays
