We are growing and always on the lookout for high calibre individuals to join our store teams. The Inspirations Paint Store at Penrith is looking for an enthusiastic full time Paint Sales Assistant, to work Monday to Friday.

Relevant personal experience in home improvement projects or within the paint or hardware industries is an advantage.

The position is available for immediate start and will include ongoing industry leading training, Award wages, and a uniform. Business hours are 6:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am to 2:00pm Saturday.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing an exceptional customer experience to our retail and trade customers
  2. Tinting & mixing paint
  3. Following the "Inspirations Way"
  4. Providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge in paint and protective coatings, while assisting with sales, stock control, and merchandising
  5. Assisting with deliveries as required
  6. Practicing safe manual handling
  7. Store presentation, stock management, housekeeping
  8. Ensuring Workplace Health & Safety requirements are met
  9. This role involves frequent heavy lifting over 23kgs

Experience / Attributes:

  1. Demonstrated customer service with a personalized customer focus
  2. Well presented in appearance and communication
  3. Able to contribute and work in a team
  4. Proven sales experience and knowledge of paint and related products
  5. Approachable, confident, energetic, with a pleasant disposition
  6. Attention to detail, initiative, and ability to learn new systems
  7. Ability to load/unload vehicles safely
  8. Honest, reliable, punctual
  9. Current valid driver's license - must be able to drive a manual vehicle

Annually, we sell over 25 million liters of paint, representing 1-in-every-5 liters sold in Australia, painting every fifth building with our product.
