About the Role

You will support the day-to-day operations of the packaging team by providing technical subject matter expertise on equipment setup and operation. Provide design and operational guidance for the continuous improvement of packaging systems and processes, including capital upgrades and installations.

Main Duties

• Identify process improvements at both operational and strategic levels.
• Support technical improvement projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Interpret and work with technical documents, including diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Manage packaging tooling resources and implement process improvements to optimise tooling utilisation.
• Perform quality inspection approvals within your area of responsibility.
• Maximise the cost-effectiveness of packaging processes and resources while ensuring the manufacture of safe, pure, and effective therapeutic products.
• Work collaboratively with the Maintenance department to improve plant and equipment reliability.
• Research and recommend innovative technologies and initiate process improvements.
• Contribute positively to a motivated and engaged workforce through effective communication, participation, and teamwork.
• Maintain the necessary skills and competencies relevant to your role and ongoing development.
• Identify and actively participate in the implementation of continuous improvements (CIs).

About You

• Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry is highly regarded, but not essential.
• Experience in FMCG packaging, particularly form-fill systems (including bottle filling, sealing, moulding) and downstream ancillary packaging equipment (labelling, coding, shrink-wrapping, cartoning, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with technical documentation, such as IQ/OQ protocols and technical drawings, is highly regarded.
• A technical diploma in mechanics, electrical, or fitting is preferred.
