This is an exciting opportunity to join Northern Star as we embark on a new financial year with promising new roles across our operations in the Northern Gold Fields. We have openings for UndergroundMine Surveyorsacross our Carosue Dam,Thunderbox and Jundeeoperations. All roles are offered working on 8/6 rotation FIFO ex Perth. Here's what awaits you:

  • Oversee the survey marks out of drill and blast rings, mine heading development, exploration drilling and raise bore drilling.
  • Survey control for all related mining activities.
  • Assist with survey plans including survey instructions (horizontal and vertical development), end of month surveys, dig permits and emergency response plans.
  • Survey of end of month development and ore stockpiles, stope surveys, heading development, geological mapping and surface works when required.

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

Expertise and Accomplishments:

Candidates should hold an Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, along with 1-2 years of practical experience, preferably in a fast-paced underground mining environment. Desirable skills include proficiency with Deswik software packages, strong personal organizational abilities, and forward-planning capabilities.

They should be critical thinkers, agile, proactive go-getters with a 'can-do' attitude, and a positive outlook.
