Charles Hull Contracting is currently seeking applications for experienced Float Drivers to join our Transport team. You'll bring experience and knowledge of driving all over WA in either 50 and or 100 tonners. You'll join a large, experienced team that's always buzzing, reporting to the Transport Manager.

This role is based out of the Waroona Yard, with flexible rosters to suit.

About you:
  • Current Australian MC driver's license
  • Proven experience operating heavy vehicles
  • Current commercial drivers, fitness to drive report
  • Able to operate heavy vehicles safely
  • Able to complete risk assessments
  • Ability to drive in all-weather conditions
  • Must be able to read, understand and complete all relevant documentation
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical stamina and strength
  • Earthmoving, mining, civil, construction industry experience (desirable)
  • High regard for health and safety
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical & drug and alcohol screening
  • You will bring experience, reliability and a good attitude to work every day
About the role:
  • Transport earthmoving machines and equipment
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns, perform preventative maintenance
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • Document work/rest periods and kilometers driven, retain fuel receipts
  • Comply with truck driving rules, regulations, and company policies
  • Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations
