The Role

Do you enjoy working with people, have a flair for organisation, and have a passion for creating smooth, efficient systems? We're looking for a Human Resource Officer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong professional relationships, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

In this dynamic and highly valued role, you will be at the heart of our daily operations, providing advice and hands-on support across various human resource (HR) functions including recruitment and selection. A key focus of the role is the management of daily teacher relief and leave management supported by a small team—you should be the go-to person ensuring every class is covered and our school continues to run smoothly. A solid understanding of staff timetabling and rostering will be highly advantageous.

In addition, you'll oversee essential HR systems, including payroll processing, validation and mandatory reporting requirements, Working with Children and Criminal Screening checks, pre-employment requirements and appointment documentation.

This role is a 48-week school based position, however flexible leave arrangements during school holidays can be negotiated.

      • Demonstrated sound organisational skills in planning, prioritising and time management with proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
      • Demonstrated sound verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills, including the ability to undertake effective negotiations and build positive relationships with staff at all levels.
