We are seeking a Penetration Tester to perform ongoing cyber penetration tests on systems identified by Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) and the wider global business.

Reporting to the Manager Cyber Threat Intelligence and Offensive Security and working within our collaborative, supportive global Cyber Security team, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Becoming a core member of Rio Tinto's global penetration testing practice.
  2. Conducting daily testing on:
  • Enterprise Active Directory domains
  • Global IT networks
  • Bespoke web applications and client-side software
  • Mining equipment and production ICS networks
Acting as an internal subject matter expert on penetration testing and remediation recommendations.Managing and developing the toolset used for penetration testing to safeguard company assets, intellectual property, and systems.Collaborating with Cyber teams to evaluate new IT technologies for potential vulnerabilities and remediation.Identifying opportunities for process improvement in penetration testing services.Participating actively in the day-to-day delivery of cyber security services.Developing and maintaining metrics and dashboards to measure the effectiveness and maturity of our penetration testing efforts.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Several years of experience in penetration testing and information security.
  2. Proven hacking experience in at least one of the following: Web Apps, Mobile Apps, Network Infrastructure, Thick Clients, Active Directory, PCN/SCADA.
  3. Experience with programming or scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Perl, Ruby, C#, Java.
  4. Ability to coordinate complex operational activities with IT services departments.
  5. Certifications like OSCP, GPEN, GXPN, SEC560, SEC565, CREST (or equivalent) are desirable.
  6. Strong collaboration, influence, and report-writing skills.
  7. Excellent communication skills and autonomous problem-solving ability.
