Atwell is seeking a Communications Manager who brings both strategic vision and hands-on execution. In this role, you will help lead the way we tell our story to our teams, clients, and the industry through clear, thoughtful, and aligned messaging. You will guide communications for a company with deep roots and a sharp focus on the future. All owned content will funnel through this role. You will be the central voice behind our messaging and the connective tissue across teams, channels, and audiences. From thought leadership and campaign messaging to media pitches and merger announcements, you will ensure every piece of communication reflects a consistent tone, purpose, and direction.
You will be part of a collaborative, fast-moving environment where communication is viewed as a business-critical function. You will partner across business operations, marketing, leadership, and external media to ensure our messaging connects with clarity and purpose. You will contribute to how our people understand the work we do, how our clients experience our brand, and how the market sees our continued momentum. This role is fully remote, with limited travel, and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact from wherever you are.
What you'll do- Develop and implement a communications plan that supports business goals and company initiatives
- Create content strategies that position Atwell as a thought leader and drive brand awareness
- Lead campaigns and collaborate with the Communications Team to create content for social media, website, news releases, intranet, and newsletters
- Evolve and maintain company messaging and brand voice to drive consistency across all owned content
- Identify story opportunities, pitch media, and build relationships with key media outlets
- Partner with leadership on messaging and strategy for executive communications, including mergers and acquisitions
- Build intentional, long-term relationships with business operations to position the team as a strategic partner
- Manage content team resources, including consultants, to drive initiatives forward to meet goals and deadlines
- 8+ years in corporate communications, public relations, or content strategy
- Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry or the Power & Energy, Oil & Gas, or Land Development industries is required
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
- A strategic mindset with the ability to connect messaging to business outcomes
- Confidence working across departments and with senior leadership
- Familiarity with managing messaging around change, growth, and brand evolution
