Perth, Western Australia ORS Full time

We are looking for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support professional who is passionate about research and developing others to improve their report writing, formulation, and strategy development skills.

We believe in providing services that are evidence-based, practical, and tailored to the participant's needs across various environments. Our goal is to help clients address behavioral challenges, achieve their goals, and reach their potential. When restrictive practices are used, we aim to reduce or eliminate them through skill development, improving emotion regulation, and introducing replacement behaviors. Our plans enhance the capacity and confidence of the support system to provide effective and valued support.

In this role, you will be:

  • Reviewing Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Providing training, support, and guidance to staff
  • Participating in research to build the evidence base for our plans, with the possibility of publication in peer-reviewed journals

There is also an opportunity to supervise provisional psychologists (if registered as a psychologist) or provide PBS or other allied health services if interested.

These are flexible full-time or part-time roles for the right candidates, with multiple positions available as our team continues to grow.

Work-Life Balance

The ORS executive team values a healthy work-life balance. Many staff have families and busy lives outside of work, so we:

  • Provide resources for remote work
  • Allocate clients close to your home
  • Allow ownership of your calendar for flexible scheduling
  • Offer suburban office locations with free onsite and local parking
  • Support part-time or reduced hours

Learning and Development

We prioritize the professional growth of our staff. Our division has four dedicated Learning & Development Managers with over 20 years of clinical experience, university lecturing backgrounds, and impressive qualifications. You can access one-on-one and group training sessions and consult with them on complex cases, in addition to support from managers and team leaders.

Requirements include:

  • PhD/Doctorate (desirable)
  • Background in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, or Behavioral Interventions for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, or other complex diagnoses
  • Experience with the NDIS
  • Experience providing Positive Behaviour Support or similar services in disability, education, or justice sectors
  • Ability to produce high-quality reports
  • Own a car and hold a valid license
  • Clearance checks (Police, Working with Children/Vulnerable People, NDIS Worker Screening) or willingness to obtain them before starting
