Position Title: Enrolled Nurse (EN2-5), Mental Health - The Forensic Hospital, Malabar Justice Health - PFT/PT
Role and responsibilities- Provide day-to-day mental health and physical health care for patients in a secure forensic environment in alignment with recovery principles and forensic mental health rehabilitation.
- Contribute to planning, implementation, and evaluation of health issues; integrate therapeutic goals with security requirements through continual appraisal of organisational processes and nurse–patient relationships to maximise therapeutic outcomes.
- Maintain safety and security for patients, staff, and visitors within the high-secure environment.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care and support patient rehabilitation.
- Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse currently registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge relevant to contemporary mental health nursing.
The Forensic Hospital is a high-secure forensic mental health facility in New South Wales, operated by Justice Health NSW. This facility provides specialist inpatient care for adults and adolescent forensic, correctional and high-risk civil patients. A multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing and allied health professionals supports care across the clinical spectrum, from high dependency and acute care to long-stay and rehabilitation care.
