Who we need

There is a rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer that has experience working in an IT Managed Service Provider environment to join our team. Reporting directly into the Service Delivery Manager, the right person will need to:

  • Demonstrate a detail-oriented and proactive approach to project delivery
  • Best in class customer service skills to deliver and manage solutions for our clients

  • Be offered an attractive salary package with: overtime, paid on-call allowance (one week every est. 4-6 weeks), training

  • MSP experience: Must have worked in an MSP environment supporting multiple clients
  • Problem Solver: you are energised by solving business challenges with technology
  • Customer's greatest fan: demonstrates a thirst for better understanding of the customer and defines the problem and develops solutions through their eyes
  • Troubleshooting expert: you get a buzz out of getting to the root cause of problems
  • Eye for detail: you recognise that one mistake could derail the project and communicate/document accordingly
  • Team player: you value different perspectives and contribute to successful delivery
  • Continuous improvement mindset: you challenge the status quo and advocate better ways to do things
  • Networking guru: you can do subnet calculations and recall the OSI model
  • Experienced: you have delivered ICT projects for a minimum of 2 years and worked within ICT technical service delivery for a minimum of 5 years

Skills:

  • Proficiency in solution design, installation and on-going support
  • Technologies:
  • Cloud: Microsoft Azure, Teams Voice and Office 365
  • Network Security: FortiGate (priority), Palo Alto, Sophos (min. firewall and NAT rules, IPSEC tunnels; desired BGP and SD-WAN)
  • Switching: Cisco Catalyst and Nexus, Dell, HPE/Aruba (min. VLANs, STP, LACP)
  • Wireless: Fortinet WLC-SD/Meru Networks or Ruckus

Nice to have

  • CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE4+, VMware VCP certifications
  • MSP platforms mastered: Autotask, Solarwinds, N-Able, Auvik
