(Penalty rates apply for weekends and public holidays).

The ideal candidate is customer service oriented with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people, compassionate, diligent, and capable of working as part of a collaborative team.

As a Revenue Billing Officer, you will be responsible for processing patient billing (for chargeable patients) related to accommodation and professional fees. This includes working closely with Arrangement A consultants (doctors) to ensure all billing for chargeable patients is accurately captured and processed and liaising with patients and families on behalf of consultants to ensure all invoices are correctly issued.

Your duties may include one or more of the following:

  • Managing the consultant database, ensuring all consultants are accurately registered and able to bill with PCH, maintaining compliance and responding to annual audit requirements.
  • Preparing billing documentation that complies with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines and generating and sending out invoices for patient services, ensuring all charges are accurately recorded.
  • Identifying and implementing initiatives to increase revenue from chargeable patients in an effective and cost-efficient manner.

  • Arranging education for Medical Staff on correct documentation and billing processes as required for PCH.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational, communication and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation. Effective team collaboration will be an essential part of the role.
