Blue Projects is one of the most dynamic consulting firms, focusing on providing unique and bespoke Engineering and Project Management solutions for clients in the industrial and commercial sector.

To further our strategic business growth, we are looking for a passionate Snr or Project Manager in our Sydney office.

The new colleague will work within the Project Management Department, taking care of the project's budget, planning, and technical challenges. The role also involves developing and managing relationships with the client's team, consultants, and vendors.

How the ideal candidate would be?

  1. Proven experience as a construction project manager, focusing on industrial projects
  2. At least 5 years in this role
  3. In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles
  4. Familiarity with quality and health and safety Australian standards
  5. Good knowledge of MS Office
  6. Familiarity with construction/project management software
  7. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  8. Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  9. A team player with leadership abilities
  10. BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or a relevant field
  11. PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
  12. Knowledge of the food industry, manufacturing, and packaging processes, layout, and tech specs will be an advantage
  13. Available for business trips/relocation

What are the responsibilities?

  1. Collaborate with the project team to determine the specifications of the project
  2. Assist in negotiations of contracts with external vendors
  3. Assist in obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
  4. Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  5. Assist in planning all operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met
  6. Manage team members and allocate responsibilities
  7. Lead project team and interactions with clients and contractors
  8. Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
  9. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
