About Our School - St Martin's School, Carina, enrolment over 620 students, is the only Catholic Primary School in Queensland founded in the 800-year Dominican tradition, centering on four pillars: prayer, learning, service and community. The school uses synthetic phonics to support literacy and a whole-school approach to problem solving in mathematics. We educate learners to be creative, confident and reflective, empowering them to shape their world. - Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 per annum + super (commensurate with experience)

In this position you will be responsible for:
- Lead and coordinate engaging physical education programs that promote student wellbeing, teamwork, and skill development across all year levels.
- Support the planning and delivery of school sporting events, including Carnivals, Gala Days, before-school training, and occasional weekend competitions.
Creating a nurturing and orderly learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices.
- Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community
- Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture
- Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
- Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
- Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching
- Time is allocated to support the planning and coordination of key school events, including Carnivals, Gala Days, sports meetings, before-school training sessions, and occasional weekend activities
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum
- Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students
- A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development
- For this position you are required to be Catholic.
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers
